Health is the general body wellness. It is the level where the body functions at its best. It means that the body is physically and mentally well with no illness. It is the physical, mental and so spiritual capability to make healthy choices for ourselves . We are happy and able to do many things when we are healthy. This paper will outline tips to living healthy.
The food that we eat constitute majorly our healthy journey. There is a saying that says that the number one medicine is the food that we eat. For us to be healthy there is need to cook healthy food. Food is healthy when it has the nutrients needed for our body. Carbohydrates,proteins,vitamins and healthy fats is what constitute healthy food. We should take non processed carbohydrates and healthy proteins. Since cooked food rarely has all the nutrients the body need we should makeup by taking supplements. Vitamins, protein shakes and minerals are some of the supplements that we should take.
Another way to stay healthy is by exercising. Exercising ensure that the cells remain health. We can talk long walks or even enroll in a gym to do workouts. Doing cardio workouts is good for the heart as well as loosing weight. Building the muscle and losing fat can be achieved through weight lifting. Jogging in the morning is also another way we can stay fit . By working out we are able to keep a healthy weight as we stay healthy.
Since our body is mostly made of water we should ensure we drink a lot of it to stay healthy. It is recommended that we take 8 glasses of water per day. Water works well with our body in terms of detoxing when we urinates as well as through sweat. Water helps our digestive system and prevents constipation. Fresh juices, green tea are some of the fluids that we can take on top of drink water.
We should maintain our mental health. We can do this by reducing the stress in our lives. Overthinking about problems will lead to stress which is a mental disease and it can be very unhealthy. It distorts your emotions and feelings which can be dangerous to your general well being. If not checked stress may lead to depression. Depression is a disease and it kills if not treated.
Our bodies need to have healthy weight. So as to maintain good health one must have healthy weight. Healthy weight is checked through the BMI which should be normal based on height ,weight and the age of the person. Excess weight leads to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems.
