Run or Walk the 4-mile Race - a scenic and challenging loop that starts just west of Hyde Park Square, winds through historic Hyde Park, and ends on the Square. See some of the top U.S. and international runners run after the main race, and encourage your friends and family to participate.
Top 50 Finishers
Congratulations to the "Top 50" male and female finishers in the 4-mile run/walk race! Beginning on Thursday, July 2nd you will be able to stop by Bob Roncker's Running Spot in O'Bryonville (1993 Madison Road) and pick up your award - a very stylish Hyde Park Blast pool bag stuffed with goodies from our friends at P&G!
Run/Walk Race Schedule of Events
- 8:00 a.m.: Men's and Women's Main Field
- 8:00 a.m.: Walk Start (please move to the back of the start area)
- 9:15 a.m.: Separate Elite and Elite Team Start (Invite-only basis - please e-mail elite coordinator for qualification times)
- 10:00 a.m.: Kids events begin (separate run times, check the Kids Event page)
Registration and Packet Pickup
All proceeds from the entry fees support cancer charities: CancerFree Kids, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Wellness Community and Give Back Cincinnati.
Race Details
- Start and finish are on Hyde Park Square at Erie and Edwards.
- Baby joggers & dogs are allowed on the course! Please start at the back of the pack.
- Visible markers will be positioned along the course at every mile.
- Digital clocks at the Finish Line will display your unofficial time.
- Blast Water Stations will be staffed at the 1.5 and 3-mile marks along the course.
Chip Timing
- To receive official time, participants MUST wear official timing chip.
- No Chip = No Official Time. DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR CHIP!
- RETURN CHIP AT FINISH LINE.
- If chip isn't returned, participant will incur a $60 fine.

- Separate Elite Field: While you're cooling down and having a cold one, please come back out to the course and cheer on some of the fastest runners in the country as they take to the Blast course and try to conquer Handasyde!
Kegs and Eggs Breakfast
Join your fellow runners and walkers for the best breakfast spread and post-race party in the city (complimentary for all registered participants). Kegs and Eggs provided by Frisch's and Christian Moerlein. Participants will also be able to enjoy organic fruit and other offerings from bigg's, Bruegger’s, Servatti, Busken Bakery and other sponsors.
Back for another year: All runners and walkers of legal drinking age will be able to start the post-party reload early with two free Bloody Marys (virgin and regular) or Mimosas from Teller's. Drinks are limited to two per race participant.
$5 charity donation for friends and family of participants or spectators to enjoy the Kegs and Eggs.
