Blast Sponsorship: A Wide Reach

Blast sponsorship levels range from $1,000 to $20,000. After covering event costs, all sponsor dollars are given directly to the Blast charities. Depending on the level of sponsorship you wish to provide, your exposure to the community will vary. Your company logo/name may appear on over 15,000 entry forms, event posters and various merchandise that will reach thousands of viewers, giving your company extraordinary pre-race and post-race exposure! On event day, even more people will see sponsor messages, since participants, volunteers, spectators and the media will attend. Logos on signage, booth space, product sampling and company names are broadcast in many event announcements throughout the day. Making your sponsorship commitment by January 18, 2008, guarantees the maximum exposure of your logo/name associated with the 2008 Hyde Park Blast events to the thousands of Blast followers.

In-Kind Contributions

The Blast would not be as successful as it has been without the extra help from many friends and partners in the way of in-kind donations. The overall goal of such gifts is to underwrite as many of the event expenses as possible so that more dollars can be given directly to the Blast beneficiaries. Please consider making an in-kind donation, and your company name will appear in the appropriate sponsorship level on all material. To make the event a success, the following in-kind donations are needed and are valued at 50% of the retail value:

  • Security
  • Barricades
  • Printing
  • Graphic Design
  • Web page design
  • Port-o-lets
  • Clean up and trash removal
  • Banners/Signs
  • Event Merchandise for Participants and Volunteers
  • Participant food and beverages

Blast Run/Walk and Criterium Ride

Advertising

The media play a significant role in communicating all event activities, charities and awareness issues to the community. We encourage sponsors to tag your TV, radio, newspaper, magazine and billboard advertising to include your Blast sponsorship and relationship to the event! This media coverage will be counted as an in-kind contribution toward your sponsorship level.

Participant Gift Bags and Prizes

Participants receive gift bags at registration for the events. We encourage sponsors to provide items for participant bags, as well as prizes to be awarded to age group and event winners. Corporate Sponsors may provide items for race bags and waive the bag fee.
